Currently based in Stonehouse, the Company has grown over the past 10 years and will be moving to a larger and improved production facility in Gloucester in the last quarter of 2026.

The QHSE Co-ordinator supports the day-to-day implementation of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures across engineering operations.  Working closely with engineering, fabrication, and project teams, the Co-ordinator ensures that operational activities comply with company standards and statutory regulations.

Candidates will need demonstrable experience of working in a QHSE or Co-ordinator role within an engineering, manufacturing, or construction environment.  You should have knowledge of QHSE legislation and best practices and a familiarity with engineering tools, equipment, and workshop/site hazards.

A NEBOSH Health & Safety Certificate or equivalent (or working towards) would be an advantage.  Engineering or technical background (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, etc.)

MAIN DUTIES OF JOB:

  • Perform regular site, workshop, and office inspections to monitor compliance with QHSE procedures and report any hazards or non-conformances.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safety documentation relevant to engineering activities.
  • Support incident and near-miss investigations by gathering evidence, taking statements, and ensuring corrective actions are followed up.
  • Maintain QHSE records including safety checklists, permit logs, equipment inspection reports, and training records.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and QHSE inductions for new employees and contractors.
  • Carry out checks on machinery, tools, and PPE to ensure they are in safe and serviceable condition.
  • Support the QHSE Manager in preparing for audits and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture on the shop floor and site through regular engagement with teams and clear communication of expectations.
  • Provide administrative support for QHSE reporting, document control, and data entry.

For this role you will need to be solutions focused, with an eye for accuracy and detail.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage a workload with competing priorities and frequent interruptions.

Candidates will need to self-motivated with a desire to set high standards of work performance for themselves and for others.

The Fabricator and Mig/Tig Welder is responsible for the fabrication and welding of light to medium gauge steel in line with the detailed engineering drawing provided, occasionally liaising with other departments of the fabrication shop to ensure the fabrication is to the standard required.

For this role candidates will need a Fabrication and Welding qualification or a time served apprenticeship. You will have experience of working in a fabrication environment (engineering or metal work).

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of Mig and Tig welding and fabrication especially with welding mild steel and stainless steel.

Candidates will have knowledge and an understanding of reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Read, interpret and follow engineering plans, drawings and instructions to ensure exact specifications of output
  • Fabricating work in various gauge metals (light to medium)
  • MIG welding (predominately mild steel)
  • Tig welding (predominately stainless steel)
  • Grinding/polishing fabricated items by using various handheld tools and/or dedicated material finishing machinery
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Ensure production times are met.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Maintain machinery and tools using preventative maintenance methods.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

You will need to be self-motivated with a desire to set high standards of work performance for yourself.  You will also have a positive outlook and ‘can do’ approach to tasks.

Being organised, accurate and having an eye for detail is essential in this role. As is having good communication, verbal and written skills.
